Sizzler is a chain of restaurants founded in 1958 by siblings Delmar and Helen Johnson. Both decided to start their restaurant in Culver City (California), and name it “Sizzler Family Steak house.”

A little space of Brazil in the United States, that’s what is Texas de Brazil. This restaurant was founded in 1998 by a Brazilian family in Addison (Texas). However, everything began in Porto Alegre (Brazil) when this family decided to bring the delicious flavor of the famous churrascaria into the United States. The idea was to share this particular type of Brazilian food with the American people. So, the mixture of American and Southern Brazilian food resulted in the restaurant chain Texas de Brazil.

George Couchell worked in the family’s restaurant while he studied at Duke University. After that, he decided to found his restaurant in Monroe (North Carolina) in 1982.

Previously known as Runza Drive-Inn and Runza Hut, Runza is a fast food chain in the United States. Everything began with a dream of two brothers, Sarah “Sally” Everett and Alex Brening, who decided to found a restaurant to sell sandwiches filled with beef, onions, cabbage, and delicious sauces. This way, Sally and Alex started the first local restaurant in Lincoln (Nebraska) in 1949.

If you like hamburgers, you should know White Castle. This restaurant is known for being the first American fast food chain, and it was born in 1921. This year, the cooker Walter Anderson founded a local restaurant in Wichita (Kansas), to sell small square hamburgers. Thereafter, in 1926, he decided to talk to the insurance broker Billy Ingram to open a fourth local and started the White Castle System of Eating Houses Corporation.
