Which countries have a Cherry Berry yogurt bar?
For now, Cherry Berry is only available in North America. There are around 30 stores located in the US, and one opened in Vancouver, Canada in 2016. However, apart from that, there are no other Cherry Berry restaurants outside the USA, although the chain has mentioned wanted to branch out into other countries once more stores are open in the US and Canada.
In fact, their first job is to branch out into the other states. Currently, Cherry Berry stores can only really be found in the Midwest and on the Gulf Coast, with five yogurt bars in Minneapolis alone. Large areas of the country, including the East and West coasts, have no Cherry Berry stores at all.
What makes Cherry Berry different?
The reason Cherry Berry is so popular is that customers are allowed to make their fro-yo creations themselves. With this system in place, there is no limit on the number of toppings you include or flavor combinations you can create. You have free reign to be as inventive as you want.
The other factor making Cherry Berry a little unique to all the other frozen yogurt restaurants is that the price of your creation is based on its weight, in ounces. So, not only can you choose every flavor which will go into your dessert, you can even dictate how much it will cost by choosing a smaller or larger portion size.
There is no kids' menu at Cherry Berry, but there is no need as you're able to make smaller portions yourself, and these naturally cost less due to the system in place.
Although they only technically serve one product, there are several parts to the Cherry Berry menu. For example, all of their frozen yogurts fit into one of three categories: low-fat, fat-free and no added sugar. There are a ton of different flavors available, as has been mentioned before, including the likes of pumpkin pie, candy cane, rocky road, toffee popcorn and many more.
Alongside frozen yogurts (which constitute a large proportion of the Cherry Berry menu), they also serve fruit sorbets and plant-based frozen yogurts. Some Cherry Berry stores have recently introduced edible cookie dough to their menu. There's only a limited selection of flavors available currently, and not all yogurt bars have cookie dough available yet.
There are also loads of toppings to choose from. You can add as many as you want from a selection of chocolates, candies, sprinkles, fresh fruits, nuts, sauces and more. The toppings and flavors available can vary on a store-by-store basis.
All Cherry Berry yogurt bars are self-serve, so you can make your sundae yourself. All you have to do is grab a cup, fill it with your favorite flavor of frozen yogurt, add your toppings, pass it over the till to be weighed and pay.
As you have to create your own mixture of yogurt and toppings, there are no delivery options from Cherry Berry. At a few select stores, it's possible to order click and collect, where you can decide your combination online, and they'll make it for you. However, most people choose to order in-person and either eat-in or take-away.
Does Cherry Berry cater to special diets?
The Cherry Berry menu is very accommodating when it comes to people with special dietary requirements. Everything on their menu is suitable for vegetarians (except any candies containing gelatin), and they have also created a range of dairy-free sorbets and plant-based frozen yogurts, all of which can be eaten by vegans.
On the Cherry Berry website, a list of every flavor and any allergen products each one contains is available. If you have any allergies or intolerances, it's a good idea to have a brief look at this list to make sure you're able to eat your favorite flavor.
What is Cherry Berry's opening hours?
The opening hours can vary depending on which Cherry Berry you're visiting. The less popular stores are only open from 2pm-8pm, whereas lots of the city-based Cherry Berry yogurt bars are open from 11am-9pm. It's always best to check the website or Facebook page of the store you intend to visit to see when they're open from and to.
Frozen yogurt is well-known for being a healthy alternative to proper ice-cream. It is much lower in calories and fat, making it a popular choice for those trying to limit their intake of unhealthy foods. However, the Cherry Berry menu actually takes it one step further, as most of their frozen yogurts are either low-fat or completely fat-free.
As the structure of Cherry Berry allows you, as a customer, to essentially create your own menu, you have the power to make your creation as healthy or unhealthy as you want. For example, there are plenty of options to top your yogurt with fresh fruit as an alternative to chocolate and candy.
Can I cook Cherry Berry from home?
Cherry Berry has not released any official recipes for their frozen yogurts, and it cannot be purchased in regular supermarkets. However, there are plenty of 'copycat' recipes available on the internet, which have a very similar taste to the original. That said, you can apply the principle of Cherry Berry to any frozen yogurt or ice-cream by adding your range of delicious toppings.
