I wasn't always a juice person, but my recent visit to Boost Juice has definitely converted me. It all started back in 2000 when Janine Allis introduced the juice bar concept to Australia after being inspired by the proliferation of juice bars she’d seen on a vacation in the United States. Fast forward two decades, and Boost Juice has not only taken Australia by storm - the beloved brand has also expanded internationally. What's truly impressive is that Janine started the company while on maternity leave and with no prior business experience, an anecdote I found both inspiring and remarkable! Where in the world are they?

From that initial debut in Adelaide, Boost Juice has spread its fruity goodness to approximately 550 locations across 13 countries. As an Australian, I feel a smudge of national pride knowing that the majority of these stores are still on home turf, around 300 to be exact. They've also penetrated the European market with stores in Estonia, Latvia, Malta, and the United Kingdom. In Asia, you can quench your thirst with a Boost Juice in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam, and in the Middle East in Brunei, Darussalam, and Saudi Arabia. I personally tried the 'Brekkie to Go Go' smoothie - a heavenly mix of muesli that provided me my daily hit of protein and fibre. Then for my buddy who is a gym junkie, he found the 'Gym Junkie' smoothie absolutely perfect - a delightful blend of strawberries, whey protein, milk, banana, and vanilla yoghurt & ice. Not only was it bursting with protein, but it was low in fat and gluten-free too.
