When I visited Little Caesars, they had meals available from late morning all the way through to dinner time. So whether you're just waking up and crave a pizza for breakfast, desperately need a convenient lunch or want a fast dinner, Little Caesars has got you covered. Not to forget the ever-so-convenient midnight munchies!
As I strolled through the restaurant that day, a slice of pizza in my hand, I couldn't help but become engrossed in the story of Little Caesars, that was proudly displayed all around me. They were founded in 1959 in Garden City, Michigan, by two lovebirds - Mike Ilitch and Marian Ilitch. Here's something not many know - they poured their entire life savings into this business. Originally, the place was called “Little Caesars Pizza Treat”. It's quite surprising that their first-ever venue unfortunately shut down in 2018. By 1962, just 3 short years after they opened their doors, the couple had already launched their first franchise location in Warren, Michigan. Fast forward 15 years, and they had their flag hoisted in every US state. Talk about rapid expansion! You can learn more about this charismatic brand on their official website or their “Our History” page.

Worldwide Reach of Little Caesars

Would you believe me if I told you Little Caesars has outposts in over 20 countries? There are more than 5400 locations across these countries, including in every US state. They are also conveniently located in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Spain, India, and the Philippines, amongst other countries.

So, Let's Talk Pizza!

One thing that really stood out during my visit to Little Caesars was their affordability! They've been touting their cost-effectiveness since the late 70s, with their catchphrase “Pizza! Pizza!” representing their 2 for 1 pricing. And they don't disappoint either. One time, I bought a large pizza for just $5. Pretty good deal, right? You may wonder, though, how they manage to keep prices so low while still making a profit. The answer is short, precise, and impressive - they produce most of their ingredients. The pepperoni tasted fresh because it was fresh, not purchased from some third-party business. This way, the cost for each ingredient in their pizzas is also lower. Even the mushrooms they serve - they started cultivating them back in 1971! The cheese on their pizzas is a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone, as opposed to just mozzarella which is what their competitors use. Let me tell you, the taste was no less and no two pizzas had the same cheese blend. I remember a Hot-N-Ready pizza that had a combination of mozzarella with Muenster cheese. And the dough? Always fresh and made daily, never pre-made or frozen. Many of their locations also offer “Hot-N-Ready” items. These are pre-made items ready for takeout that you don’t have to wait around for! I ordered one and despite my initial worries, it was hot, as the food is kept in a warm oven until it gets ordered!

Spice it Up!

Whether you want a spicy topping or not, Little Caesars has options for everyone. I liked the Hot Banana Peppers topping, the spicy cheddar dip, and hot buffalo wings, but there's always the option to stay mild as well. The wide variety of options on their menu is impressive to say the least. Not only do they have pizzas with an array of toppings, but they also serve chicken wings (Caesar Wings), Italian cheese bread, and cinnamon bites. The Crazy Bread, which is a cheesy garlic-rich bread, is one of my favorites!

Placing an Order at Little Caesars

Ordering food at Little Caesars was very easy. You can either go inside the restaurant, or use their drive-thru. You can also opt for delivery using their website or the official mobile app. Takeaway/Pick-up is available too.

Vegetarians Welcome!

For my vegetarian friends out there, fear not. Little Caesars has plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The “Veggie Pizza” is a crowd favorite, and they offer many vegetarian-friendly items and toppings, like pineapple, onions, olives, and tomatoes.

Thinking About the Kids?

Unfortunately, they do not have a dedicated children's menu. However, with the variety they offer, you're sure to find something child-friendly.

When Do They Open and Close?

Although the opening and closing times may vary depending on the location, most outlets open at 11 am and close down at 9 or 10 pm. Perfect for an early lunch or a late-night snack!

Is Little Caesars Healthy?

Pizza might not be the healthiest of options due to the high cheese content and added olive oil. However, there's plenty of room to customize with healthier ingredients like mushrooms, onions, and other vegetables, or by opting for chicken over fattier meats like Italian sausage.

A Pizza Party at Home?

And did you know you can create your own Little Caesars magic at home?! They offer their Little Caesars Pizza Kits, with every ingredient necessary to whip up your own pizza. And not just pizza kits, they also have cookie kits, which make for a great family activity. Now let's talk about the pros and cons of my experience at Little Caesars:

Pros

  • Affordability
  • Variety on the Menu
  • Veggie Options
  • Great Cheese Blend
  • Fresh Dough

Cons

  • No Children's Menu
  • Might not be the healthiest option
