They offer meals in the late morning, at lunchtime, and during dinner time.
Little Caesars was founded in 1959 in Garden City, Michigan, by two married lovebirds Mike Ilitch and Marian Ilitch. They invested their entire life savings into the business, and was originally called “Little Caesars Pizza Treat”. The first location sadly closed down in 2018.
They’ve opened their first franchise location in 1962 in Warren, Michigan, just 3 years after their opening, and 15 years later they already had a location in every US state.
You can find out more about Little Caesars on their official website here. You can also visit their official “Our History” page for their progression and achievements over their many decades of history.
Which Countries Have a Little Caesars Restaurant?
Little Caesars has restaurants in over 20 countries and more than 5.400 locations across them. Besides being available in every US state, they’re also available in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Spain, India, and the Philippines.
What is Different About Little Caesars?
Their biggest differentiator is their price. They’ve been marketing themselves as affordable ever since the late 70s, with their catchphrase “Pizza! Pizza!” which expresses their 2 for the price of 1 pricing. And for good reason, a large Little Caesars pizza can go for as low as $5!
So, what’s the catch? How do they manage to keep prices this low while keeping a profit?
The answer is simple, they produce most of their ingredients! Cutting out the need to buy ingredients from third-party businesses gives them a better cost for each ingredient in their pizzas.
For instance, they’ve been making all of their mushrooms since 1971 when they acquired mushroom farms for their business.
Of course, this isn’t the only way they cut costs. For instance, their cheese is a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone, while some of their competitors use just mozzarella which increases the overall cost. But that doesn’t mean that their cheese is any worse – just order one of their pizzas and you’ll see it!
And keep in mind that not all of their pizzas use the same cheese blend. For instance, some of their Hot-N-Read pizzas use a combination of mozzarella with Muenster cheese.
And don’t think that they cut corners on every part of their pizza. It is just the opposite in fact. Their dough, for instance, is always fresh and made daily, instead of pre-made or frozen.
But their affordability isn’t their only competitive advantage. Many of their locations also offer “Hot-N-Ready” items, which are pre-made items ready for takeout that you don’t have to wait to get made. And don’t worry, it won’t get cold! As the name implies, the food is hot since it is kept in a warm oven until it gets ordered.
Is Little Caesars Spicy?
It depends on your choice of toppings. Most of their pizza toppings are not spicy, but some of them are, like the Hot Banana Peppers topping, their spicy cheddar dip, or their hot buffalo wings.
Little Caesars offers pizzas with a wide variety of toppings, as well as chicken wings (Caesar Wings), Italian cheese bread, cinnamon bites, and the Crazy Bread which is a cheesy garlic-rich bread.
As for their pizza toppings, they have everything you’d expect from a well-established pizza chain, and more – Pepperoni, pineapple, tomatoes, anchovies, red onions, Italian sausages, bacon, and more.
They also often have unique toppings based on the country or city they’re located like the Canadian pizza or the Pizza by Meter in Saudi Arabia. Another one of their unique toppings is the 3 Meat Treat, which comes with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon.
But Little Caesars doesn’t offer traditional round pizzas. You can also get the “Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza” which is a form of Detroit-style pizza, a rectangular thick-crusted pizza.
They also serve a variety of different dips for your pizza or wings, including ranch sauce, creamy garlic, and BBQ ranch.
As for their chicken wings, they come in 5 main varieties: Oven Roasted, Hot Buffalo, Mild Buffalo, Honey Garlic, and BBQ.
You can also choose a couple of different crusts, like butter parmesan flavored crust, or stuffed cheese crust.
How Do I Order Food at Little Caesars?
Ordering food at Little Caesars is pretty easy – you can order inside one of their locations, or use their drive-thru which is available at more of their restaurants.
Alternatively, you can get it delivered online on their website or their official mobile app. You can also order Takeaway/Pick-up to get your order in person at one of their locations.
Does Little Caesars Cater to Vegetarians?
Yes. Their “Veggie Pizza” is vegetarian-friendly, and they do have a bunch of other vegetarian-friendly items and toppings, like pineapple, onions, olives, and tomatoes.
No.
What Are Little Caesars’ Opening Hours?
Their opening hours will vary a bit depending on the location, but their most common schedule is to open at 11 am and close down at 9 or 10 pm.
Is Little Caesars Healthy?
It depends on your choice of toppings. Most pizzas will not be very healthy since they contain lots of cheese, and often have added olive oil on top, so they’re going to generally have a lot of calories and fat.
However, by choosing the right toppings, you can make their pizzas perfectly acceptable by choosing healthier ingredients like mushrooms, onions, and other vegetable choices, as well as by choosing chicken instead of fattier meats like Italian sausage.
Can I Cook Little Caesars at Home?
Yes! Little Caesars has its own line of use-at-home products called Little Caesars Pizza Kits. They offer kits that come with every ingredient necessary to cook the pizza of your choosing.
And Little Caesars Pizza Kits doesn’t offer only pizza kits! They also have cookie kits among their products.
