Casa Ole serves lunch and dinner and is open from 11 am to 9 pm every day of the week except on the weekend when they close at 10 pm.
Casa Ole was founded in 1973 with the express goal of serving authentic Mexican food in a warm and comforting environment. The family-friendly atmosphere fostered by founder and owner Larry Forehand has remained as genuine and inviting to this day as it was when they first opened shop almost 50 years ago. With over 30 locations now serving their excellent cuisine, it has left many people wondering when Casa Ole will bite the bullet and make the trip up north. Unfortunately, we don't have an answer for you, as it seems Casa Ole wants to stick close to its roots and hang about the South where it has seen so much success. You never know what the future holds, though.
What makes Casa Ole stand out?
Casa Ole prioritizes the family-friendly aspect of its restaurants almost as much as it does the quality and freshness of its ingredients. Authentic Mexican food is surprisingly hard to come by as you begin to creep further north of the border and Casa Ole is certainly one of the few bastions of great Tex-Mex that has made its way as far north as Louisiana. If you are looking for high-quality fast-casual dining then Casa Ole is the place for you, their focus on fresh ingredients, which they have delivered six days a weekend is a testament to this. All food is prepared daily, on-site, and is based on recipes that have been honed for decades by a blend of Mexican and American chefs to ensure that this Tex-Mex joint lives up to its name.

Is Casa Ole authentic Mexican food?
Yes and no. The Casa Ole menu uses authentic Mexican recipes and ingredients so on the one hand it is genuine Mexican food. But, Casa Ole is Tex-Mex. It takes more than a few Texan liberties with its cuisine in an effort to create delicious and intriguing food. Is it technically completely "authentic" Mexican food? Probably not. But Mexico and Texas were once part of the same country and the cultures and cuisines overlap so much that they may as well be one entity. Sometimes it's best to avoid getting caught up in defining authenticity and just enjoy good food when it is on the plate in front of you.
Are there good vegetarian options at Casa Ole?
There are plenty of amazing veggie options at Casa Ole. Mexican food does a great job of feeding non-meat-eaters in general so it's no surprise that Casa Ole is a great place for veggies to dine. There are plenty of delicious entrees such as cheese enchiladas, bean-based chilies, guac and chips, salads, nachos, tacos, burritos, and even cute veggie quesadillas for the kids! If you are unsure whether or not a menu item is suitable for you it is a great idea to speak to a member of staff, your server is well equipped to deal with any menu questions as well as offer personal recommendations of great veggie dishes as well as local favorites.
Is Casa Ole very spicy?
This is a great question. Casa Ole can be quite spicy as it is Mexican food we are talking about. However, spicy doesn't mean overpowering and there are plenty of variables that can tone a dish to your preferences. Since everything is made fresh in-house, asking for a dish to be less (or more!) spicy depending on your personal preference is not only acceptable it is encouraged! If you don't mind a little spice, Casa Oles' spicy chicken soup is to die for and is absolutely a favorite of regulars and first-time visitors alike. If you are feeling spoiled for choice, spicy chicken soup is always a winner. If you can't quite handle your spice, sour cream is a great way to add a creamy richness to your dish while at the same time mellowing some of that heat. It doesn't spoil the flavor profiles and doesn't even slightly reduce the authenticity.
Are there good food items for children?
Yep! There are plenty of great options for kids which reduce the portion size (and the spice) while remaining true to the Casa Ole style and quality. Casa Ole knows that children can be quite picky eaters (weren't we all!) so there are plenty of kid favorites such as chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and even adorable personal pizzas. There isn't a kid who ever looked at a menu and has not been enamored with the idea of a personal pizza. A whole pizza, all to themself, without having to share. Whatever topping they want. Heaven.
Do they serve alcohol?
Yes, Casa Ole serves a mixture of beers, cervezas, wines, fun cocktails, and of course soft drinks for the kids. Casa Ole is a family-friendly restaurant so it is not a place to go and get rowdy, so don't worry about other customers ruining your good time. Casa Ole does a very popular happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm on a Monday where all house margaritas are half off. Beers and other cocktails are reduced by $1 so you are sure to get your money's worth. Happy hour prices do not apply to food! Don't get caught out thinking your tacos were, near enough, on the house!
