My Red Ribbon Experience
As a serious cake and pastries enthusiast, I was excited to drop by Red Ribbon and indulge myself with their impressive menu, which included things like round cakes, roll cakes, square cakes, and pastries.
Red Ribbon's delightful cakes and pastries didn't just appear out of nowhere. They're the result of a 43-year-long journey that started in a humble storefront in Timog, Quezon. Today, this once modest cake shop is rapidly growing into one of the Philippines' most well-known locales for cakes and pastries. Renato and Amalia Hizon Mercado, who founded the shop back in 1979, dreamt of creating a bakery renowned for quality products, and I can affirm that they’ve achieved it.
Where I Found Red Ribbon
One of the things that speak volumes about Red Ribbon's popularity is the sheer number of outlets it has. With more than 450 scattered all over the Philippines, and over 30 across the U.S., it’s not hard to find one. While Red Ribbon is a staple in many states including New York and California, for me, stumbling upon one of their outlets during my wanderings in Las Vegas was divine providence!
What Makes Red Ribbon Stand Out
With a seemingly never-ending array of cake shops to choose from, it's Red Ribbon's rich history and amazing quality that really caught my eye. Since 1979, they’ve been in operation, consistently delivering top-notch pastries and accumulating ample experience to scale new heights within the industry. Having their chefs tailor-make cakes and pastries for more than 40 years, it's easy to understand why they're a cut above the rest and why they've been consistently delighting customers like me.
Another thing I loved about Red Ribbon was their extensive menu, an expression of the chefs' knowing precisely what to create after understanding customer preferences and needs for decades. From round, roll and square cakes, each category had a mesmerising variety. Not forgetting their amazing range of pastries, which would serve any pastry lover delightfully.
Ordering Experience
Ordering my delectable treats at Red Ribbon was a breeze. I simply walked up to the counter, placed my order, and within moments, I had a tray of their pastries before me, a heavenly sight indeed! I was also pleased to discover their online ordering system, which seemed just as easy and convenient.
Their Business Hours
Their hours of operation are quite convenient, too, being open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This means you can pop in for a breakfast treat, an evening indulgence, or anything in-between. I opted for a late-afternoon snack, after all, what better way to spend an evening than with cake?
Kids Friendly
Another great aspect of Red Ribbon is that they're kid-friendly, so your little ones can also delight in their delicious offerings. It’s a great place for their birthday with cakes like the Rainbow Dedication Cake that are sure to put a big smile on their faces.
