When I walked into Arby's, I immediately connected with their slogan "We have the Meats." This resonated with me due to their reputation for quality meat, particularly their roast beef.

Now, I heard this intriguing story from the cashier while I was ordering. Apparently, the founders of Arby's were a pair of brothers - Forest and Leroy Raffel. They kicked off Arby's story in 1964 aiming to satisfy a different restaurant niche, serving non-hamburger-based food with a touch of luxury experience. And here's the kicker, the name Arby's itself is a clever pun on the brothers' initials "R. B.", playing around with the phonetics that sounds like "Arby's." That's a cool little piece of trivia! On another encounter, one of the staff told me about the commendable Arby's Foundation. Turns out, Arby’s not just serves delicious meats, it also strives for a meaty impact in society. The Arby’s Foundation has raised and donated over a million dollars to youth-related causes, and runs along with the No Child Hungry program to combat child hunger. How can you not feel good about buying food from a place that gives back? As if that wasn’t enough, during checkout, I noticed a variety of Arby's branded merchandise on display. They've got their own line of clothing and accessories available in what they call the Arby's Swag Shop. You'll be surprised what you can find there - from the Holiday Collection to The Dad Collection, even Frisbee Golf Discs, bath bombs, dog toys, wrapping paper, puzzles, enamel pins, and grilling spatulas. Arby’s has spread its delicious delights across seven nations - the United States, Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and South Korea. A downside for folks in Vermont or Rhode Island though, unfortunately, you can't find an Arby's there.

What makes Arby’s stand out?

Arby's founder had the vision to offer something unique and different from the typical fast-food fare of burgers. They specialize in tantalizing sandwiches, sliders, and have introduced milkshakes as well. Their famous Roast Beef Sandwiches and Curly Fries are a must-have! If you love spice, Arby’s got your back with Buffalo Chicken Wrap or Jalapeno Roast Beef Slider. Not too long ago, in February of 2022, they introduced the Diablo Dare Chicken Sandwich and the Diablo Dare Smoked Brisket Sandwich for a limited time. These fiery pleasers are seasoned or smoked with some of the hottest peppers and came with a complimentary vanilla milkshake to tame the spice. I tried the Diablo Dare Chicken Sandwich and boy, am I still feeling the burn! They even had a spice challenge on TikTok with #DiabloDareYou.

Arby's has a fantastic array of sandwiches and sliders on their menu. You’re also in luck if you’re a fan of wraps, chicken tenders, gyros, milkshakes, or fries. My personal favorites, Roast Beef Sandwiches, and Curly Fries.

Arby’s has made the ordering process straightforward. You can order inside, use the drive-thru, or place an order online or via the mobile app. I usually pre-order for pickup to save time, using the Arby's app.

Does Arby’s have vegetarian options?

While Arby's is all about the meat, they do serve some vegetarian options like fries, potato wedges, and milkshakes. But watch out, the fries and potato wedges are fried in the same oil as meat! Back in 2016, Arby's cheekily introduced a limited-time Vegetarian Menu that lasted just one day! It kind of made the point that they're hardcore about their meats!

Does Arby’s cater to vegans?

If you're vegan, you might feel a tad left out at Arby's. Currently, the vegan options are limited to applesauce and a modified side salad. The fries are vegan, but again, fried in the same oil as meat! No worries for kids at Arby's! They offer a children's menu with chicken nuggets, tenders, and varieties of sliders. Each meal comes with a side of fries or curly fries, and a choice of drink.

When can I hit up Arby’s?

All Arby's locations open up at 10:00 am. Closing times may vary, so do check ahead not to miss out!

Does Arby’s deliver?

Yes, Arby's has teamed up with food delivery partners like UberEats and GrubHub to bring your favorite meals right to your doorstep.

Is there a way to cook Arby’s at home?

Turns out you can! Arby’s sells pre-prepared frozen curly fries in store for you to bake and savor at home. But sadly, that's the only grill-at-home offer from them. Overall, my Arby's trips have always been a delight and I look forward to more!
