  1. Bojangles Menu
I recently took a trip to Bojangles, a gem of a place serving lip-smacking Cajun-seasoned fried chicken for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was quite intrigued to find that the story of Bojangles started in 1977 when a man named Jack Fulk launched this successful venture in Charlotte, North Carolina. I dug around a bit and found all about it on their website. As I stepped in, I was looking forward to biting into their famous buttermilk biscuits, and they surely didn’t disappoint!
One interesting fact I stumbled upon was that even though Bojangles originated in North Carolina, nearly 800 stores are scattered across various states in the United States. Here’s where you can search for it:
  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Mississippi
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Virginia
All you need to do is head to Bojangles' website where you can find a nifty store locator tool! As a traveler, one of the things I appreciate most about Bojangles is its variety. Their menu consists of classic dishes with a twist. For breakfast, I opted for their Cajun Chicken Filet Biscuit Combo, a delicately marinated chicken breast nestled in a soft buttermilk biscuit. The Bo-Tato Rounds were the perfect matinee to this delightful show. For those like me who have insatiable cravings for their delicious fried chicken, you have a plethora of options. Family meals, chicken salads, sandwiches - you name it, they have it! Bojangles stands out from the battalion of fried chicken shops for good reason. They are adamant about offering freshly baked food that dances on the taste buds. They bake biscuits every 20 minutes and never use frozen chicken. Hand-breaded with spices and freshly fried, the deliciousness of their chicken is unmatched. A warm, Southern welcome at Bojangles keeps me coming back! The Cajun seasoning gives their fried chicken a spicy kick. If you're not a fan of spiciness, worry not! They offer a host of mild dips and non-spicy items like Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuits and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. One of my favorite side dishes at Bojangles were their Bo-Tatos. These fried, golden brown potato rounds have a subtle onion flavor that I still crave weeks after tasting it! Bojangles menu caters to vegetarians as well, albeit the options are limited. I was a little disappointed to find that their offerings were not very vegan-friendly, but they do have a few items like Garden Salad, Cajun Pintos, Green Beans, and BBQ Sauce. I also noted that they serve child-friendly portions of their signature fried chicken and biscuits - a win for families! Their drive-thru service is absolutely on point for those days when you need to grab a meal on the go. I found about their grits from a friendly local who assured me it's a traditional Southern breakfast delicacy made of creamy oatmeal boiled cornmeal, and it's served all day. I was thrilled to hear that they offer catering services for private parties and business events. So, a touch of Southern charm in your food is only a call away.

Pros:

  • Cajun-seasoned fried chicken is a must-try.
  • Breakfast menu options served all day.
  • Family meals were substantial and satisfying.
  • Bo-Tato rounds are something that ticked all boxes of delicious sides for me.
  • Kid-friendly meals are a win for families.

Cons:

  • Not many vegan options available.
  • Menu might feel a little restrictive for vegetarians.
  • I only wished their grits had a little more flavor!
That was all about my experience at Bojangles. All in all, it's the fried chicken that talks at Bojangles and if you’re like me and share an eternal love for some lip-smacking chicken, their menu would be just up your street!
