Chicken Shack was founded by John Sobeck and his Wife Lola Sobeck back in 1956 after he had experienced Broasted chicken and decided to shift his entrepreneurial focus on perfecting and serving Broasted chicken! This was something he first experienced earlier in the same year he opened his first location! He and his wife struck gold because not long after opening, the popularity drove them to buy more equipment to keep up with demands for their food! John has passed today, but his recipes have been passed down, and there are now 4 generations of Sobecks running locations within the chain!
