Their very first store opened its doors in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. At that time, the fast-food market in Malaysia and a majority of Asia was dominated by American companies. The Liews dared to stand out from the crowd and showcase their Malaysian cuisine to the world. Munching Through the Marrybrown Menu

My sure-shot choice was their popular fried chicken, which took a prominent place in their array of burgers. I also tried the fish burger that they serve, made up of 100% ocean-fresh Alaska Pollock. It's crispy, golden breaded, and neatly tucked into a toasted sesame seed bun.

Being a fried chicken enthusiast, I also tried out their chicken wings and their drumsticks. I tagged them along with fries or chicken nuggets. It was a touring experience to my taste buds!

In addition to the common fast-food fare, the menu offered some traditional Malaysian dishes which I found very appealing. They serve 7 of those delights, including a variety of soups and rice dishes. You also have a range of soda to choose from, including some known brands such as Coca-Cola and Fanta.

For those spice lovers, Marrybrown has several traditional Malaysian dishes which are mouth-on-fire spicy. But don't worry if you typically stay away from spicy food! Their hardly-spicy-at-all signature fried chicken can still be enjoyed by everyone.

They do have a children’s menu allowing kiddies to taste the restaurant’s signature dishes in smaller child-friendly portions. The child’s meal is served in child-friendly packaging accompanied with fries and a drink.
